It gives me immense pleasure to assume office as the Secretary of the IAS to serve our unique society.
My vision as the Secretary of our society will be “Arthroscopy training for all”. I am glad to share that an advanced “Bio-skills Lab with fresh frozen cadavers” is commissioned at Sri Ramachandra university which has been the leading destination for young arthroscopy surgeons to learn and hone their skills. Regular IAS accredited cadaver workshops have been planned at this lab to benefit interested surgeons.
The Centre for Sports Science, headed by me, nurtures an ambition to take Indian sports to the next level by bringing in cutting edge sports science & coaching excellence. It has been accredited by Govt. of India as a “Centre of Excellence” and is well on the way to produce future Olympic Champions for our country. Novel and need based courses in various subspecialties of Sports Medicine have also been launched with international collaboration. I would like our Society to introduce fellowships in this field to our members which will help them to provide better care to their athletes.
I urge our esteemed members to share their valuable thoughts with me to make our society a vibrant scientific forum. It’s my cherished wish that with your support our society will reach greater heights in the years to come.
Thanks and warm regards,
